Remembrance: My First Tattoo

These photos were taken and orignally posted on my personal Facebook page on July 16, 2016. They show the view from my favorite place to look out at the North Atlantic, near Old Garden Beach, Rockport, Massachusetts. Somewhere over the horizon, the Gulf Stream warms the west coast of Ireland. Scattered in the current in 1995 and 1999 in accordance with their wishes, perhaps some of my parents' ashes reached that shore. Perhaps they've traveled around the world a few times by now. Perhaps, as their final gift, there is a little bit of them on every beach I visit.

Scatterred at sea, my parents have no grave marker, so my sister and I (with the help of a tattoo artist) designed a mark of our own to remember them by.
