Salty Pause, The End (1st Draft)
The Wednesday excerpts fell by the wayside after June 26, but I kept posting in the 52 Scenes challenge. I shifted gears from the “Write What You Please” challenge to a scene a week to finish the first draft of Salty Pause (Lighthouse Island, Book 2). Here’s how it ends:
Red looked at her feet, feeling heat creep up through her torso and neck, all the way to the top of her forehead. She didn’t know what to do or say. Fifty damn years old and it was the first time anyone ever brought her flowers.
